Please RSVP to Irene Glaeser (email@example.com) by February 3rd if you plan to attend the Military Appreciation Day at 3PM in the Joe & Barbara Schwartz Center on Saturday, February 18. This reception is exclusive to MOAA as a thank you for everything you do. You all will be joined by some of our CFCC student veterans who would like to thank you for your support and welcome you to our campus once again.
- The National Guard has offered to be a title sponsor for the event! They're going to bring out tons of fun interactive stuff in the lobby and in-game to make things more exciting. I personally love the "hardest punch" punching bag game.
- Free parking is available in the surface parking lot adjacent to the Schwartz Center on the corner of Hanover St and Front St
- There is a wheelchair accessible entrance to the right side of the main entry doors - it is its own separate door fixture. Handicap seating is marked and available along the entire front row placement of the bleachers. If a companion chair is needed, we can provide one upon request.
- By presenting a military ID or Mil. spouse ID card, our military-affiliated fans receive Free Admission to the game. Tickets for all other fans are $7.
- Starting at 2:30 PM, MOAA + CFCC student veterans welcomed in for food and beverages that will be available in the Team Room courtesy of CFCC Veterans Services
- In-game autographed ball presentation to current CFCC student veteran
- POW/MIA remembrance seat at center court
- Halftime recognition over PA system of MOAA members in attendance

Join in commemorating the 247th Anniversary of the Battle of Moores Creek Bridge.
A wreath-laying ceremony will commence at 10:00 AM on 25 Feb 2023 near the Visitor's Center.
Afterward, you may tour the battlefield encampments, watch historic weapons demonstrations, and roam the artisan trades area. There are interpretive demonstrations of the battle held daily— these are not reenactments, but they show the Patriot perspective of the battle unfolding. After you’re finished exploring the battlefield, be sure to come back by the Visitor Center to check out the exhibits and see the park film. This event is FREE!
Our December Chapter Meeting featured a special holiday program of patriotic and seasonal music by the Coastal Christian High School Acapella Choir.

We distributed the awards as follows:
Brunswick Community College: 4 scholarships
Cape Fear Community College: 7 scholarships
